To those who love snail mail,
I have lost my address book among all my papers and books! This is quite a big deal because I love writing postcards and letters. The itch to write to a friend can be like a fresh mosquito bite waiting for the nails to dig in. I have been sending mail since 8th grade and supposedly a part of my room contains a "small stationery store." But I beg to differ. My inspiration to write back then was a crush I had on a boy, of course. I wrote him many letters and I applied what I learned in English class of writing letters to real life. Plus my mom would receive these amazing letters from Viet Nam in the overseas envelopes with the red, white, and blue striped borders. She kept the letters in the hallway closet because I think she needed to have some connection to her home country. I found this very unique. I hope to find my address book soon.
Yearning to walk to the post box,
My-Linh
P.S. Maybe the lost will convince me to finally clean!
